HP 149A (W1490A) black toner has a yield of 2900 pages (Declared yield value according to ISO/IEC 19752), HP 149X (W1490X) black toner has a yield of 9500 pages, so you can print three times as much as with the regular toner. If you print more than 4000 pages per year, the HP W1490X or HP 149X version is a much better choice.

What is the price?

The price of the HP 149A (W1490A) is between 105 € and 120 €, the high performance version or HP 149X (W1490X) from 200 to 220 €, in compatible you can buy them for less than 20 €, so they are an option to take into account. They are much cheaper and have a quality equal or better than the original HP.
